Bill Roberts Combo with Roscoe Foster

Founded in 2014, the Bill Roberts Combo brings a tight, nuanced, and rhythmically powerful  presentation to blues-jazz unlike anything you’ve heard before. The Combo performs both as an instrumental unit, and in a full band with a vocalist and other instrumentation, allowing the Combo to shine in many different kinds of events and venues.

Bill Roberts has been voted best electric guitarist in the Madison area, and his award-winning album Blues Rides Shotgun has received critical acclaim as best blues album of the year. Backing Bill is a band of veteran players who have performed nationally and internationally in such places as France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, and elsewhere.

Closer to home, the Bill Roberts Combo  plays many top venues in Madison and the upper Midwest. BRC delivers grace, subtlety, power and passion in their unique and mesmerizing take on the jazz-blues tradition every time they take the stage!

Sessions at McPike Park

The Sessions at McPike Park are free events that benefit 7 non-profits in the community. They each have a day to promote their programs. We funnel funds to these organizations through our raffle, auction, and profit-sharing plan. The Sessions features a fine array of local food and product vendors to nourish and delight. This event is family-friendly.

McPike Park is located in the heart of the isthmus in Madison, WI, this nearly six-acre park, formerly known at Central Park, was officially renamed in April 2018 at a dedication ceremony honoring longtime East High School principal, Milton McPike.
