Catfish River Music Festival

July 2 @ 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The 2022 Catfish River Music Festival is set to take place July 2nd – July 4th and is the annual Stoughton Opera House Friends Association fundraising event. The festival features free live music at the Rotary Park gazebo just outside the theater.

Artists and sellers of goods will be set-up and eager to say hello. Food vendors will be on-hand to suit all tastes, from veggies to brats; and if you can’t find something to make your tummy happy, it’s a very short walk to tons of great local food. In addition to a range of non-alcoholic beverages there will also be beer, wine, and cider for sale. All proceeds go toward keeping the Opera House operating, so your patronage is much appreciated.

The full schedule is here. Jazz acts announced include:

String Jazz with Bruce Anderson & Chris Powers

12:00 pm

When the pandemic sidelined Chris Powers and Bruce Anderson from their regular string band gigs, they rediscovered one of their great joys: Classic Jazz. They had each studied and performed this music, but never together through the magical joining of guitar, mandolin and dancing fingers.

2:30 pm

The members of Harmonious Wail are purveyors of Americana-infused Gypsy Jazz, who continue to take their listeners on a ride via the music of the Hot Club sounds of Parisian cafes, to the deepest blues of the Memphis Delta, to the heartfelt folk scenes across every-town-America. This harmonious clique are sublime entertainers, great educators, and lifters of spirits..
