Lady Wray

Virginia-born singer Lady Wray’s sound harkens back to the best of late ’90s R&B. Her new album, Piece of Me, released on Brooklyn’s Big Crown records, showcases her R&B style with a heavy dose of soul, but you’ll hear boom-bap-smacked drums and chunky basslines front-and-center. “My goal is always to help and to heal people with singing,” Lady Wray explains. “Part of that is to try and bring back real music, real singing, so people can feel something again.”

This event is part of the annual Jazz Series. Subscriptions for the 2023-2024 Jazz Series will be available for purchase starting June 1; single tickets to this performance will go on sale June 16.
