WORT 89.9 FM Community Radio is planning our annual outdoor music event, WORTstock, to be held in Warner Park on Sunday, May 19th. WORT has a 48-year history of broadcasting, and our outdoor music festival has entertained audiences for more than 25 years with diverse lineups of local and regional musicians in a wide variety of genres. It is a celebration of the diverse music WORT offers listeners every day, and the hundreds of volunteers who come together to make it all happen. We partner with local food and craft vendors, as well as with Madison Homebrewers and Tasters Guild, who provide a cornucopia of beverages in rotating selections throughout the day. We are excited to return to gorgeous Warner Park to host the first outdoor music festival of the season. The event has grown every year, and we are honored to bring a diverse mix of great local music to Madison’s north side once again.

Since its Fall 2022 Inception, Undisclosed Sims has quickly become one of the most creative and prolific bands working in the Chicago scene of jazz and improvised music. Simulate, the group’s first recorded material, exposes the band’s deep and diverse collective language producing an album that draws influence from ambient music, kraut rock, free jazz, and art-rock. Throughout-Wills McKenna, Luke Polipnick, Andrew Scott Young, and Adam Shead-prove again and again that they are here to stay with their blistering yet deeply lyrical approach to improvisation and composition.

Wills McKenna – tenor saxophone, alto flute, effects pedals
Luke Polipnick – electric guitar
Andrew Scott Young – electric bass
Adam Shead – drums
